HQS Webinar: Quantum Computer Music with Eduardo R. Miranda

Introducing the Emergent Field of Quantum Computer Music

Computers have become integral to the music industry. Therefore, it is natural for us to consider how new types of computers might influence the future of music composition, performance, and distribution. There is a global race to develop quantum computers, and much research is underway to determine their affordances and advantages. Regardless of whether any advantage will ever materialize, small-scale quantum computers are already available, and their size and sophistication are evolving fast. Examples of using quantum computing for creating music will be presented.

This talk is perfect for quantum computing professionals and enthusiasts interested in the intersection of quantum technology and music composition.
