Rolando Reiner from the quantum computing team at HQS will present the paper "Demonstration of system-bath physics on gate-based quantum computer" at the EQT event

This paper presents an algorithm for cooling interacting spin systems to their ground states using IBM Q quantum computers. The algorithm utilizes inherent qubit noise by coupling the system to auxiliary spins, allowing the simulation of ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic orderings. They demonstrate this approach’s feasibility for systems with up to three system spins and four auxiliary spins.
