InnovationFestival

The 3rd InnovationFestival @karlsruhe.digital showcases the best digital innovations from Karlsruhe and the Technologie-Region Karlsruhe. HQS participates with a short lecture on "Simulation of Quantum Systems on Heterogeneous (Quantum) Computing Systems". Join us on Friday, October 13, 2023, at 14:00 CET at the ZKM | Center for Art and Media Karlsruhe. You can attend in person nor watch it live via the website.

Highlights of the event include a keynote address focusing on the AI Alliance Baden-Württemberg and pitches from ten prominent companies and institutions in the fields of business and academia. These 10-minute presentations will spotlight their digital transformation projects, offering a glimpse into the diverse and innovative digital landscape of the region.

One of the 10-minute pitches will be presented by Dr. Sebastian Zanker, co-founder of HQS:

Simulation of Quantum Systems on Heterogeneous (Quantum) Computing Systems
Dr. Sebastian Zanker CTO, HQS Quantum Simulations GmbH

Quantum systems play a pivotal role in understanding the functionality of pharmaceuticals, chemicals, and functional materials, such as innovative batteries and efficient solar modules. Unfortunately, simulating quantum systems is highly complex, involving various steps with different hardware requirements, including entirely novel hardware types like quantum computers. We will introduce HQS's cloud-based solution for simulating quantum systems, enabling complex simulations to be initiated right from your laptop.

The InnovationFestival is a part of the KIT Science Week. After the InnovationFestival at ZKM and the Climate Slam of the KIT Science Week, join the "InnovationFestival meets KIT Science Week." on October 13, 2023, starting at 10 PM at the Tollhaus on the Alten Schlachthof in Karlsruhe.
