The World Association of Theoretical and Computational Chemists (WATOC) is a prominent international organization dedicated to advancing the fields of theoretical and computational chemistry. Established to foster collaboration and communication among researchers, WATOC organizes triennial congresses that serve as major platforms for sharing the latest scientific advancements and innovations.
The upcoming 13th Triennial Congress, WATOC 2025, will take place from June 22–27, 2025, in Oslo, Norway. This congress is expected to attract around one thousand participants, making it the largest gathering of its kind in 2025. HQS will contribute to the scientific program, which includes a diverse array of presentations, featuring 12 plenary lectures, 150 invited talks, and three poster sessions, all organized into 75 thematic sessions covering various topics such as electronic-structure theory, molecular dynamics, catalysis, and machine learning.
