Workshop: Advancing Quantum Computing - Exploring Open-Quantum Systems and Noise Characteristics

  • Leibniz Rechenzentrum 1 Boltzmannstraße Garching bei München, BY, 85748 Deutschland (map)

In this workshop, our primary focus will be on tackling the simulation of open-quantum systems on quantum computers. There will be a special emphasis on Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR). Unlike simulation using variational algorithms, we'll introduce an innovative approach that centers on developing and applying algorithms specifically designed to leverage the unique noise characteristics found in near-term quantum computers.

Key Features of the Workshop:

  1. Explore HQSNoiseApp: A specialized software designed for crafting quantum circuits tailored for noisy quantum computers.

  2. Discover HQS Open-Source Tools: Get acquainted with vital software like qoqo and struqture, crucial for quantum enthusiasts. Explore their functionalities to boost your quantum circuit simulation skills and unlock new possibilities.

  3. Explore Backend for Circuit Simulation: Explore various backends to simulate circuits and gain hands-on experience with different approaches.
